OUR LEAD TEACHERS HAVE DEGREES
Giving children a great academic beginning is a top priority of our staff. While State Licensing requires 20 hours of additional training and 10 hours for assistants/staff, all members of our team have nearly double the required training hours to ensure we can properly teach our comprehensive curriculum.

OUR STAFF IS CPR AND FIRST AID CERTIFIED
All teachers and teacher’s assistants are CPR and/or First Aid Certified! While NJ only requires a small number of certified staff members, we are working to ensure that ALL staff members have both certifications, to ensure every staff member knows what to do in case of an emergency.
MUSIC SESSIONS TAUGHT BY A CERTIFIED MUSIC TEACHER
We love to embrace the whole child. Studies have shown that music lessons can increase aptitude in math and logic concepts. To ensure well rounded students, we bring in a certified music teacher to lead our music classes. Isn’t that music to your ears?!

INCORPORATING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE INTO OUR PROGRAM
Learning a foreign language at a young age sets the stage for your child’s future success in learning a new language! Children get a weekly exposure to Spanish, whether it is numbers, colors, days of the week, months of the year, they will get a good exposure to help further their abilities.
We are always planning exciting adventures for your child outside of the classroom. From pumpkin picking, to the Land of Make Believe, and a wide variety during our summer camp as well. FRONTLINE PHONICS READING PROGRAM
For our Pre-K classes, we use Frontline Phonics Reading Program which is a complete phonics based reading program designed to help pre-reading students reach an advanced reading level. This program has the ability to have your child reading at a Pre-K level before entering Kindergarten.
WE OFFER DAILY HEALTHY SNACKS
We love to teach our kids the importance of healthy eating. To keep them strong and healthy, children are offered a variety of snacks at each meal!
INTERACTIVE SMART-BOARD BY HATCH
Over 1500 educational activities are built into the program that helps children learn language, math, science and social studies. Teachers select activities that reinforce skills they are learning in the classroom. Every class with students two years old and older, get scheduled sessions each week.
OUR OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND
We love giving our little ones fresh air. Our child care center has a state of the art playground that will make your kids jump for joy! We have separate age-appropriate playgrounds to ensure your children are safe.
OPEN YEAR AROUND EXCEPT MAJOR HOLIDAYS
We know how important it is to working parents that depend on us for child care. That is why we DO NOT close for weeks at a time during the year. We are only closed for major holidays, teacher in-service days, and if inclement weather forces us to.
SPECIAL GUEST VISITORS
We’ve had some incredible involvement with our special guest visitors at Little Learners Rockaway. We have had the mad science guys, magicians, face painters, brushes & bisques and many more! We are always trying to involve our parents, so let us know if you have an idea for a special guest.
